LITERATURE:  No report, this position is available. Literature will be available at the December meeting but not after if no one steps up to be of service for this position.

WORLD SERVICES:  Attached is a flyer and comments on a proposed update of Our Promises. This was presented by Checko at the VONR marathon meeting last Sunday.

EVENTS:  The annual SCINA Gratitude Marathon Meetings were held yesterday at Calvary Baptist Church in Bellflower.  A HUGE Thank You to Joseph and the entire Bellflower meeting for hosting this great event.  Mark Your Calendar: We have paid our first deposit for the 2018 SCINA Joshua Tree Retreat, and reserved the weekend of June 8th-10th (Friday thru Sunday). We will send a flyer out early next year.  Regarding Carry The Message month in January, last year we provided $10 of pamphlets for any Intergroup Rep that attended the December meeting.  Angela made a motion that we again give any Intergroup Rep who attends the December meeting $10 of pamphlets and we will raffle off 5 red books. Bill seconded and the motion passed.

NEW MEETINGS:  Gary reported he has not been contacted during the past month about any new meetings.

BYLAWS:  Joyce D. of San Diego said she is willing to take over bylaws.

SAN DIEGO OUTREACH AD HOC COMMITTEE:  This committee met on 11/7/17 and discussed various things and they include:  (1) possibly creating www.quitnowSD.com; (2) SD group has reached out to Kaiser and Sharp and other health providers in the city, SD group to provide contact info to Secretary; (3) will broadcast SD events and meetings on our social media; (4) encourage SD group to attend local events like a health fair, etc; (5) and, make Youtube flyer for all of SCINA.

WORLD CONFERENCE AD HOC COMMITTEE:  This committee met immediately after the SCINA meeting.  Updates to come in the minutes for next month.

Director of Web Operations:  No report.

OLD BUSINESS:  Gary was unable to open an account at US bank without the SCINA articles of incorporation, which we believe was kept by the original treasurer Joe S. who has long since passed. Bill went to Bank of America and was told they shredded all of our old documents, so the best solution for now is to add Gary to the BoA account. Bill and Gary went to BoA, but were told they could not add Gary to the account without the other new Officers present (Angie & John).

NEW BUSINESS:   No new business.

BIRTHDAYS:  Gary M. (19 years), Greg S. (8 years), Lisa S. (1 year) and Jane H. (19 years) celebrate anniversaries this month.

SECRETARY REPORT:  Mike U. nominated and made a motion that John D. be Secretary of SCINA and it was seconded by Bill H. and the affirmative vote was unanimous.  The November report was read and approved as we did have a quorum.

CLOSING PRAYER:  Angela led us in the Serenity Prayer at 11:52 AM.
