SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA INTERGROUP OF NICOTINE ANONYMOUS (SCINA)
INTRODUCTIONS: George O. called the meeting to order at 10:12 am with the Serenity Prayer followed by introductions. John was not able to attend; therefore, we could not provide Zoom access to the meeting.
WAS YOUR MEETING REPRESENTED? Quorum was not met with 4 members in attendance. The following meetings were represented: Costa Mesa 76, and Long Beach 231.
TRADITIONS: Tradition #2, “For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority - a loving God as he may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.” was read.
Chairperson’s report: SCINA will use 7th tradition to provide food as long as we are having World Conference Committee meetings.

REGISTRAR REPORT: No changes were made to the Administration List. No meetings were added, updated, or removed. All Meetings have USPS contact through their Secretary, their Representative, or email. No H&I Listings were added, updated or removed. 40 envelopes were addressed, and 100 Directories were printed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:

COMMUNICATIONS: The phone lines are running smoothly. No concerns at this time. For more information, or to be of service, please call George O. at (562) 310-0874.
LITERATURE: Angela P. did an inventory and placed an order of $970.49 to restock chips and literature. George O. provided a cashier’s check from the lit account to reimburse her. The bank waived the check fee. The beginning balance was $1641.03. Minus $970.49, the remaining balance is $670.54. George O. contacted Union Bank to remove old names and addresses from the account and have the bank statements sent to his personal address for the time being. George O. met John D. and Angie B. at Union Bank, who were added as back up signers to the account until a Chair is found for this position. We need someone to take over this responsibility. WORLD SERVICES: NAWS has voted to allow conference committee meetings or workshops at the conference this year.
EVENTS: The World Conference will be May 3-5, 2019. Please let one of us know if you can be of service at or before the Conference in some way, and/or you want to be a delegate at the conference. Commitment cards were sent last month and one person has contacted us willing to be of service. Contact John D. at (818) 618-1501 if you can help. The 2019 SCINA Joshua Tree Retreat will be July 12-14, 2019. Flyers to be distributed soon.
NEW MEETINGS: No new meetings.
PUBLIC OUTREACH: If anyone is willing to take on or share the Public Outreach position, please contact John D. at (818) 618-1501. We need more help with outreach. WORLD CONFERENCE AD HOC COMMITTEE: Registration is now open! Sign up before April 1st to get discounted rate. Please see Minutes from World Service Ad Hoc Committee meeting (attached) that was held on Sunday, February 17th. The committee meets at 11:30 am on the 3rd Sunday every month immediately following SCINA’s Regular Monthly Meeting. We need your help in planning the World Conference. The Conference will be held May 3-5, 2019.
OLD BUSINESS: No old business.
NEW BUSINESS: Discussion to moving the SCINA meeting to Sunday, July 14 at the Retreat in Joshua Tree instead of July 21st. John D. offered to bring chips and literature to sell. Tabled for next month.
George O. says the Long Beach Tobacco Education Program is having a focus group this Wednesday 2/20/19 at 5:30 pm-7:00 pm and Thursday at 10-11:30 am if any of our Fellowship can attend.
