SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA INTERGROUP OF NICOTINE ANONYMOUS

INTRODUCTIONS:  John called the meeting to order at 10:02 am with the Serenity Prayer followed by introductions.

WAS YOUR MEETING REPRESENTED? A quorum was met. The following meetings were represented:  West Hollywood 001, Costa Mesa 076, Fullerton 084, Silverlake 229, Long Beach 231, Bellflower 250, Studio City 273, and San Diego 284.

TRADITIONS: Tradition #3. “The only requirement for Nicotine Anonymous membership is a desire to stop using nicotine.” was read.

TREASURER REPORT:  Our beginning balance was $156.10.  Income: Donations: $60 from Meeting #1 West Hollywood, $15 from Meeting #76 Costa Mesa. Thank You. A 7th tradition of $27 was collected at the February SCINA meeting.  (Total incoming:  $102)  Expenses: $3 Bank fee; $7 parking fee for literature person; Secretary expenses $19.53; Registrar expenses will be reported next month; Grasshopper phone charges: $30.82; PO Box renewal $50. (Total outgoing $110.35)  Ending balance $147.75. This balance is in addition to the $1,001 in our savings account. Someone just noticed the bylaws state that we maintain a prudent reserve of only $500, so we will be transferring $501 from savings into our checking account to comply.  We have an additional $3,000 in our checking account that Stephen donated to avoid the $18/mo. bank fee which we really can't touch.  Someone recommended we switch banks, but it was decided to forgo that until a new treasurer takes over in September. The report was moved and approved.

REGISTRAR REPORT:  No changes were made to Administration List.  Meeting 282, phone contact and secretary contact information updated.  No meetings were added.  Meeting 281 was deleted.  All Meetings have USPS contact through their Secretary, their Representative, or e-mail.  No H&I Listings were added.  VA Loma Linda Ambulatory Care Center address updated and e‑mail address added.  Kaiser Woodland Hills was removed: returned mail.  200 Directories and 41 envelopes were printed.

OLD BUSINESS:  Angela was reminded by Jeff via email after the February Intergroup meeting we needed to vote for him to be a delegate representing the entire Intergroup at the Conference in April.  An email was sent out to all of the attendees of the meeting and the following responded in favor: Angela, Gary, Halli, Bill, Jane, Richard, Susan and Rick.  A letter was sent to the NAWS Secretary informing her we will have 1 delegate, Jeff M. of Joshua Tree representing us at the Conference.  Joyce D. of San Diego offered to be a delegate as well and a motion was made, seconded, and approved and she will be our second delegate.  A new letter will be sent to NAWS.
