COMMITTEE REPORTS:
HOSPITALS AND INSTITUTIONS: No report. We still need a volunteer to take over this role. Please think about being of service in the Intergroup. We have a need for Intergroup Reps from each group to attend the Intergroup meeting once a month and be a voice for your group. Please, at the very least, make sure your group is apprised of what is in these Minutes. Richard W. suggests you follow up with the Institution where your meeting is held to push our program.
COMMUNICATIONS: Communications are running smoothly. There are no concerns at this time.
LITERATURE: Halli picked up a literature order. Please contact Halli for orders prior to the meeting. HalliK@sbcglobal.net . Please contact John (818) 618-1501 if you would like to be of service for this position as Halli would be glad if someone could take it over for him.
WORLD SERVICES: Gary and Jeff both reported this month for World Services. NAWS is working on a new piece of literature “Challenged Nicotine Users” and hope to have a draft for a vote at this year’s Conference. They also want to make amendments referencing delegates registering earlier so it is easier to inform them prior to the Conference. Please consider signing up for Gift of Gratitude monthly donation and receive a free Seven Minutes newsletter in the mail.
Jeff M. who is the World Services Outreach Coordinator and By-Laws Coordinator reported that he would be attending the Conference in Cleveland this year. Please contact Angela if you want to attend the Conference as a Delegate representing SCINA (949) 302-8465. Please contact Jeff (760) 401-6503 if you have questions about the online membership survey, or comments regarding the NicA By-Laws Amendments being voted on this year. Please let us know if anyone is interested in attending the World Services Conference meetings via conference call or internet conferencing. We would like to take a list of names and the meetings they attend to the Conference and let them know that there is an interest for this. Any thoughts on hosting another World Service Conference in 2019?
EVENTS: Our next scheduled event will be the 18th Annual NicA Retreat in Joshua Tree. We are confirmed for Friday June 23rd thru Sunday June 25th, 2017. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact Bill H at (818) 800-3449. We will have a flyer ready by next month.

Please feel free to join us on 4/16 17 Easter Sunday and 6/18/17 Father’s Day by calling the Conference Access Number: (218) 895-0786 and then, when asked for the access code, enter 1471471#. Please see flyer attached with more information.
There was some discussion about changing banks again due to our bank adding a fee to checking accounts that don’t keep a daily balance over $3,000, we received a donation from a member in November 2014 to cover this. There was also some discussion about raising our prudent reserve in the By-Laws to 3 months of our expenses which is estimated to be $750 at this time and we have $1,000 in our Savings account.
NEW BUSINESS: John and Angela discussed visiting the various meetings over the coming months.
BIRTHDAYS: R.J. celebrates 19 years and Sparky celebrates 12 years in February, both from the Costa Mesa meetings. Also, Rick W. is commemorating 19 years this month, and Richard W. of Carson is celebrating 7 years today! Congratulations.
SECRETARY REPORT: The February report was read and approved as we did have a quorum.
CLOSING PRAYER: Richard W. led us in the Serenity Prayer at 11:30 AM.
