WORLD SERVICES: Gary reported there was a board meeting Tuesday regarding By-Law changes in reference to Delegates. He was not able to attend but emailed Chick and she wrote back that a document will be sent to Intergroups and Delegates as soon as possible. A number of changes will be presented at the Conference for Delegate approval. These should be received 90 days before the Conference. There will be a NAWS board meeting on January 28. It’s online and Gary thinks he will attend and report to us what is going on.
EVENTS: Our next scheduled event will be the Retreat. Please let us know if your meeting is willing to sponsor a new event, for example, the Pot Luck held 2 years ago on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend in May. Or in years past, the Wednesday evening Post-Holiday dinner with Nicotine Anonymous speakers hosted by the Fullerton meetings in January. If your group is willing to set up an event, Intergroup would be glad to pass the details along to the rest of the Fellowship.
NEW MEETINGS: Gary hasn’t had any calls for new meeting material.
PUBLIC OUTREACH: No report from John who handles Public Outreach for Intergroup. Jeff, who handles Public Outreach for World Services invites everyone to attend the Public Outreach meeting on the 3rd Saturday of every month on a conference call. Call Jeff for the details at (760) 401-6503.
SPEAKERS LIST: Invite a speaker to your meeting. Call for a list (949) 302-8465.

Director of Web Operations: No report.
OLD BUSINESS: Bill H. is working with Jane H. to pre-plan next year’s Joshua Tree Retreat. We would like to have it two nights (tentatively last weekend of June, Friday afternoon/night through Sunday noon). If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact Bill at (818) 800-3449 or whca111@gmail.com.
NEW BUSINESS: There was some discussion about changing our prudent reserve in the By-Laws to cover a certain number of months of our expenses rather than a dollar amount. Jeff talked about the membership survey on the NAWS website. Jeff also talked about this meeting being a conference call every few months instead of a physical meeting at the hospital so other members could attend. We will check the By-Laws if that might cause a problem and have more discussion next month. We would like to do a trial run in June for the Intergroup meeting as a conference call. Jeff received no response from anyone about anything they would like to see in the electronic newsletter. Please contact Jeff if you are interested (760) 401-6503.
BIRTHDAYS: Ian celebrates 14 years smober, JudiAh D., Linda and Fran 15 years, Estelle 8 years this month. Congratulations!
SECRETARY REPORT: Letters will be going out soon to thank the meetings that were able to send donations to Intergroup in 2016 so we could continue to support the Fellowship. Thank you for your continued support and please let us know your ideas. The January report was read and approved as we did have a quorum.
CLOSING PRAYER: Halli led us in the Serenity Prayer at 11:33 AM.
