INTRODUCTIONS: Angie B. called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM with the Serenity Prayer followed by introductions.
WAS YOUR MEETING REPRESENTED? Quorum was met with 8 members in attendance. The following meetings were represented (some members might represent more than one meeting): Costa Mesa 76, Fullerton 84, Sherman Oaks 185, Silver Lake 229, and Long Beach 231.
TRADITIONS: Tradition #7, “Every Nicotine Anonymous group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions,” was read.
TREASURER REPORT: Beginning Balance for June/July is $55.34—(incoming) (retreat funds $4065) (Misc. donations $66.01 John D and Michael U) (West Hollywood #1 $300) (Costa Mesa #76 June/July $30) (Fullerton #84 $50) (Long Beach #231 $80) (Scina June/July) $29)—Total incoming plus beginning balance is $4675.35. Total income from the retreat is $4065 and expenditures were $3925 which left a profit of $140. Outgoing—Retreat-(Kathleen Chase, catering $1400) (Institute of Mental Physics $1645) (Parking for Literature person $5) (P.O. mailbox rental fee $50) (Grasshopper June/July $ 63.11) (Secretary Expense $20) (Website email renewal fees $134.85) (Go Daddy Hosting fees $216.60) Total expenses outgoing $3534.56). Incoming $4675.35 minus expenses $3534.56—Aug beginning balance of $1140.79 Unknown error. Bank of America shows an ending balance of $964. We show an ending balance of $1140.79 a difference of $176.79---Don't know where error arrives from.
REGISTRAR REPORT: No changes were made on the Administration List. Meeting 12, Monday, Long Beach, Phone Contact updated. No meetings were added. Meeting 285, Saturday, Altadena, closed and removed. All Meetings have USPS contact through their Secretary, their Representative, or email. No H&I Listings were updated or removed. No H&I Listings were added or removed. 41 envelopes were addressed, and 100 Directories were printed.

EVENTS: The annual Nicotine Anonymous Picnic in the Park event is Sunday, September 16 at Rush Park, 3001 Blume Drive, Rossmoor, CA 90720. The Intergroup meeting will be at 10:00 am and the picnic will start at 11:00 am. The Marathon Meeting will be Saturday, November 17, 2018.

SAN DIEGO OUTREACH AD HOC COMMITTEE: No report.
WORLD CONFERENCE AD HOC COMMITTEE: The committee did not select a hotel yet. This will be discussed at our July meeting. The committee meets at 11:30 am on the 3rd Sunday every month immediately following SCINA’s Regular Monthly Meeting. We need your help in planning the Conference. Please contact the Chair of the World Conference Ad Hoc Committee, John D., at johndarnell8@gmail.com or by phone at (818) 618-1501. We will need volunteers. The Conference will be held May 3-5, 2019.

OLD BUSINESS: John D and Chad from NAWS had a meeting to go over how to use WebEx for SCINA meetings. We hope to have this available at either our August or September meeting.
NEW BUSINESS: SCINA will look at different ways to distribute chips and literature to its members.
