COMMUNICATIONS:  The phone lines are running smoothly.  No concerns at this time.   For more information, or to be of service, please call George O. at (562) 310-0874.

LITERATURE:  We need a volunteer for the Literature position at SCINA.  Please consult your Higher Power, and if interested, please contact George O. at (562) 310-0874 or come to one of our Intergroup meetings.  The current balance in the literature account is $1,171.46.

WORLD SERVICES:  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Nicotine Anonymous World Service Conference (annual meeting of delegates) will be conducted April 25th and 26th by remote attendance ONLY.  The hotel cancelled the in-person meeting and gave NAWS a full refund.  The registration fee is now only $20.00 (both delegates and attendees).  Anyone who has already paid more than that will be contacted very soon by the event treasurer about receiving a refund.  All delegates still have to be registered by March 24th, 30 days prior to the conference, so please contact George O. at (562) 310-0874 before March 23rd for approval if you would like to be considered as a SCINA delegate.  Gary is attending as a delegate with VONR.  Bill and Angie, as members of the Board, do not need to take a delegate spot, so there are still 6 delegate positions open for anyone in SCINA. Upon registration, instructions will be emailed with instructions on how to download Zoom software at no additional charge.  Or you can call in via phone if you don’t have a computer.  A new booklet on Sponsorship will be discussed and perhaps voted on, as well as three other workshops TBD, and election of Officers. This year’s theme is “We Can See Clearly Now.” For more information and to register, https://nicotine-anonymous.org/  You do not need to be a delegate to attend if you want to just listen in.  Next NAWS board meeting 3/28/20 Sat 11 am to 1 pm EST. Anyone can attend this meeting via zoom.  Minutes from recent board meetings will be on two-way talk. Sign up at  http://nicotine-anonyous.org/nica-news-email-communications.html

EVENTS:  The meeting of the month is suspended until further notice.  21st Annual Joshua Tree Retreat will be held June 12-14, 2020 at the JTRC Ding Le Mei house.  We are assuming everything will be back to normal by then. We will not deposit checks received until closer to the event when we are sure the event can go forward.  Please consider rounding up your donation to $200, with $15 going to our “scholarship fund” for members who need assistance paying the $185 cost.

NEW MEETINGS: Gary reports two requests for starting meetings, one in Redlands and the other one in San Bernardino. If you want to start a new meeting, you can find information and receive a free packet at www.nicotine-anonymous.org.  Call Gary M. with questions (310) 755-5582.

PUBLIC OUTREACH:  If anyone is willing to take on or share the Public Outreach position, please contact John D. at (818) 618-1501.  We need more help with Intergroup outreach.  Send your Meeting Representative to the Intergroup meetings to tell us how we can help you. The point of contact is needed.
