WORLD SERVICES:  The 36th Annual Nicotine Anonymous World Services (NAWS) Conference (April 9-11, 2021) was a virtual success with more than 150 registrants and 53 delegates representing at least 5 countries and 3 continents.  SCINA was well represented with 7 delegates and 3 board members. Delegates approved two new literature works:  a vaping pamphlet “Freedom from Vaping Nicotine” and a second daily meditation book, “Reflections on Freedom: Daily Meditations on the Steps of Recovery.“  The pamphlet should be available by June, while the book will need formatting and cover selection, so most likely won't be released until Fall. Thank you to all of our SCINA delegates and board members for being of service, and a big thank you to George O. and Angela P. for serving as Zoom room hosts. Secretary Emeritus Angie B. completed her third year on the board.  Chairperson Bill H hosted the event and is now settling into his advisory role of Chairperson Emeritus.  Chair-elect John D. became Chairperson of NAWS at the end of the conference.  He is currently SCINA Treasurer and Zoom Meeting Scheduler, and would appreciate someone taking these commitments off of his hand.

EVENTS:  We have decided it is best not to do an in-person Joshua Tree event this year.  A virtual retreat will be held once again this summer, August 22, 2021 for $10 registration.  A Save The Date flyer will be sent out soon.

Our picnic will be held September 18, 2021 and we will have Officer elections.  Please consider being of service at the Intergroup level.
