No H&I Listings were added or removed.  American Cancer Society in Culver City address was updated.  37 envelopes were addressed, and 40 Directories were printed.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

HOSPITALS AND INSTITUTIONS:  Received return mail from American Cancer Society in Culver City and notified registrar of their new address for our mailing. Please send additional email contacts for our meeting list; ask your doctors and dentists.  For more information, or to be of service, call Angela P. at (949) 302-8465 or angela.socal9@gmail.com.

COMMUNICATIONS:  We received no phone calls this month.  Discussion was held regarding discontinuing the phone line and using the NAWS # to save money due to a low number of donations in 2019 and 2020.  Although we are unable to vote due to not having a quorum, it was generally held we could discontinue the phone line.

LITERATURE:  Nelda H. has agreed to take on the literature position.  The current balance in the literature account is $721.77.

WORLD SERVICES:  The NAWS quarterly board meeting will be held virtually on July 11th from 9 am until 3 pm PDT.  All NicA members are invited to listen in.  If you would like an invite, please email Bill H. at whca111@gmail.com.  World Services is looking for a new E-mail Pal coordinator.  About 50 members belong to this group, and the coordinator sends out an inspirational email every few days (e.g., copies from the meditation of the day books) to foster conversation among participants.  Coordinator also maintains a distribution list, as participants can join or leave at will.  Web Coordinator is looking for an assistant.

EVENTS:  See attached “Save the Date” flyer for a virtual conference version of the Joshua Tree Retreat to be held August 22-23 via Zoom.  Jane & Alan, Jeff M, and Bill H are planning two days of meetings, workshops, yoga & meditation classes.

Just a reminder the picnic is canceled for this year in September, but we will still have our virtual online Intergroup meeting in September, where elections will be held.  Bill H, Angie B, and John D. have taken on positions at World Services and we need your help in stepping up at the Intergroup level.  Please consult your Higher Power.

NEW MEETINGS:  No report.

PUBLIC OUTREACH:  If anyone is willing to take on or share the Public Outreach position, please contact John D. at (818) 618-1501.  We need more help with Intergroup outreach.  Send your Meeting Representative to the Intergroup meetings to tell us how we can help you. The point of contact is needed.  If your meeting has been interrupted due to the shutdown, please see our meeting list for meetings which are still getting together online and conference calls.

SPEAKERS LIST:  Invite a speaker to your meeting.  Call (949) 302-8465 for a list.

BY LAWS:  No report.

WEB OPERATIONS:  Rick W. is still working on the design of the web page.  Content is being checked and updated as needed to reflect the effects of the response to the pandemic.

OLD BUSINESS:  Just a reminder, the meetings are self-supporting and do need your donations to be able to pay for their meeting rooms.  Donate to SCINA at www.QuitNowLA.com.

Due to recent events, SCINA has purchased a zoom account on a temporary basis for SCINA Fellowship meetings.  If you would like to use the zoom account for your meeting, please contact John D. at SCINAtreasurer@gmail.com.  Remember that both phone and internet meetings are available daily.  For a directory of meetings, check out the Nicotine Anonymous website at www.nicotine-anonymous.org.

NEW BUSINESS:  No new business.

BIRTHDAYS:  Bonni C (West Hollywood) 1 year!  Congratulations.

SECRETARY REPORT:  June minutes were read and corrected.  We could not approve the Minutes as we did not have a quorum.
